Rainbow Warrior was started in June 2020 finished in September 2020. Acrylic on canvas.This painting was created with the inspiration from the summer of 2020 in the heat of the Black Lives Matter movement. During that time I had the honor of taking a virtual class lead by Amanda Sage titled “Transformation 2020”. This painting and the woman featured in it are very special to my heart. The woman is a pillar of strength in the BLM community to this day. She stood up to her ancestors call to become a leader to make sure black voices are heard. She leads events and marches to this day. The hummingbird is a symbol of freedom and the spirit march behind her came through clearly as I was starting the painting. I was in a bit of disbelief at first the the ancestors tors wanted to trust me with this piece, so I did a clearing and asked for clear permission before moving forward. It was an honor to channel this image so clearly. One of my favorite works yet.
All art is printed on heavy duty card stock then packed with matboard in a plastic sleeve. Shipping is included in price.
